Shrapnel tells the story of Youssef, a 19-year-old Gaza photographer who was shot by soldiers while filming a peaceful demonstration on the border with Israel. Due to the severity of the injury, doctors are forced to amputate his left foot but try to save his right foot, transferring him to a West Bank hospital, where Youssef does his best to settle down and hopes to make himself a photographer.
